Mr. Ladner, along with his Florida Bar registered paralegal, Sandy Mathews, will assist you in obtaining the mandatory documents to initiate and maintain your case. The appropriate pleadings will be drafted pursuant to the facts and circumstances of your case. Mr. Ladner will request both temporary and permanent relief on your behalf. Pre trial motions may be filed while the matter is pending to obtain various relief; such as financial support, exclusive use and possession of the marital home or business, child support, visitation, etc.
If your case involves children, Mr. Ladner will assist in negotiating an agreed upon resolution, or if necessary, obtain an adjudication from the court regarding parental responsibility, timesharing and visitation, child support, medical insurance, tax exemption(s), school designation and any other needed relief.
If your case involves distribution of marital assets and liabilities, Mr. Ladner and his staff will assist in identifying the assets and liabilities and whether the assets and liabilities are non-marital or marital. Mr. Ladner and his staff will assist in determining the appropriate value(s) to be assigned to each. Our office works with outside appraisers who can be retained to evaluate real property (both commercial and residential), vehicles, boats, jewelry, coins, guns, etc. and prepare a comprehensive report to submit to the court in support of your case.
If your case involves alimony, Mr. Ladner and his staff are able to prepare the requisite pleadings along with documents to support or defend your position. We work with various accountants who can be retained to advise the court on the respective parties’ need for alimony and the ability by the other party to pay.

Mr. Ladner was born and raised in Polk County, Florida. Mr. Ladner lives with his wife, Leslie and their two children, Max and Lexie, in Winter Haven, Florida. Mr. Ladner served in the United States Marine Corps after graduating from college. He received an honorable discharge after eight (8) years of distinguished service. Mr. Ladner worked as a law enforcement officer in Polk County, Florida for six (6) years. While working as a law enforcement officer, Mr. Ladner obtained his law degree. Upon graduating from law school in 2000 Mr. Ladner took a position with the State Attorney’s Office in Polk County, Florida. Before leaving the State Attorney’s Office to go into private practice Mr. Ladner was the chief of Felony Division 1. In 2006, Mr. Ladner went into private practice and has been representing clients in family and criminal law matters throughout Central Florida.
Mr. Ladner’s paralegal, Sandy Mathews, was born and raised in upstate New York and moved to Polk County, Florida in 1991. Sandy has been married to her husband Rob for 11 years and has a 15 year old step-son named Caleb and a 7 year old daughter named Kacie. Sandy was employed as a records and evidence specialist for the Polk County Clerk of Courts from 1995 until 2003. In 2003 Sandy went to work for the Polk County State Attorney’s Office as a felony legal secretary where she worked until entering private practice in 2005. Since entering private practice in 2005 Sandy has worked primarily in criminal and family law. In 2011 Sandy took the necessary steps to become a Florida Registered Paralegal.
